Physics majors shine bright at URP 2007

Two students participated with research projects under the advice of DU physics faculty mentors: DU sophomore Sean Krupa and WVU senior Bob Leonard.

Sean competed successfully for one of eight BSNES internal fellowships.  He worked in the Mossbauer-spectroscopy lab under the advice of Dr. Sorescu. He plans to continue work in the lab next summer.

Bob, who joined Dr Frittelli’s computational research in black holes, was among seven participants to give oral presentations at the Symposium that closed the program.  He was featured prominently in the local coverage of the event. Bob will begin graduate studies in physics starting Fall 08.
